At Sunrise, we proudly support Every Child Online, an ambitious charity dedicated to closing the digital divide and playing a crucial role in ending digital poverty. The pandemic has brought attention to this widespread issue, but digital poverty has long affected many families across the UK. The lack of access to the internet impacts education, opportunities, and daily life, making it a pressing problem in modern Britain.
Since the charity began its mission to tackle digital poverty and enhance digital education for children and young people, Every Child Online has received over twelve thousand donated laptops and PCs from generous companies and the public nationwide. To date, they have refurbished and distributed more than £6 million worth of devices to schools, educational organisations, Social Service Departments, and charities, empowering underprivileged children and young adults with the tools they need to thrive in the digital world.
